Default another question, and thanks for the answers to the others

I was told of a lost bracelet today, quite valuable they said, made of silver and diamonds. It was lost in lake michigan, on the shorline, they know about where to, but it was lost several years ago, would it still be in the same area? It was lost in the water a couple feet in from shore.
Also, went out today and found some clad, nothing special, but better than nothing, I was getting more hits too, but they were deeper, and only the top two and half inches are thawed so far, but I'll be heading back in a couple days, gonna be warm this weekend.
Well, thanks for the help with my questions..

Smile Is it still there?

IF it is still there is debatable. Erosion, water curents and other factors can have a lot of impact on the status.

If it hasn't already been scooped up by someone like you there is a good possibility it is still near the area, however 'the area' can be quite large and take a considerable amount of time to hunt under proper conditions.

I would think chances are good that using an underwater detector and lots of patience could turn up what you are looking for as well as a number of other goodies. Water hunting is slow going due to the water resistance of swinging the coil as well as navigating the site so you don't miss most of it due to lack of land marks for griding. It sounds worth the effort from the information you provided.

That is something you should go after. Unless someone found it, the bracelet should still be there.
Do it slowly and dig every signal you get.
It will take some time but is well worth the effort
Good luck

Thanks for all the answers, I will go after it as soon as the Ice is gone. This bracelet was insured for 20k, so I think its worth a try anyhow.. I'll let you all know how it turns out, but it will probably be a month befor I get to look for it. thanks again..

Hey Bbuck,
Do you know the owner? Are you trying to find it to return it? If it was insured for 20K, they probably cashed in on the insurance, right? I wonder what the insurance company would do if they found out it was found... Very intersting. HH and good luck in your search!

Default Hey Pris

Yea, I know the owner, and yes it was turned into the insurance company. I dont know what they'd do if they knew it was found, or for that matter what I would have to do if I found it, but wouldnt it be a great find??? My son in laws aunte lost it, about 4 years ago I think he said, and they know about where, so I'm going to give it a try. I probably should try and get some one with more experience to help out tho too. Who knows, I'll let you know if I find it tho,, infact,, if I do you'd probably hear my shouts anyway..lol,,
well, HH,

Bbuck
