Hey....escanaba here also. My brother and I have been detecting off and on for some time. I just purchased a GTAx 550 and my brother uses a Xlt and a tesoro cibola. Looking for research tools available online for the area, they seem to be few and far between. What are some of your older finds from this area? My oldest penny is 1882 IH,along with tons of other IH and merc dimes and such. Well good to see someone from eskyon the forums. Look forward to hunting this year if the damn snow ever leaves.

Ryan.

Default hey chico

I havent metal detected alot, I'm getting back into it this year. My oldest find is a 1942 dime and a buffalo nickel. I've also found a silver cross and a necklace. and quite a bit of clad coins. My goal this year is to find a ring. And maybe some older coins. Again, if all the damn snow ever leaves.
Nice to hear from you.

Default Lake Michigan Beaches

Bbuck, do you ever hunt the beaches? I'm not from the area but plan on visiting in a few weeks! Do the Great Lakes have tidal wave action like the ocean or is it very calm like a much smaller lake?.............Any other beach advise would be appeciated! Thanks Joe
