Default Just an opinion,

Have just been on MD forums for a few months and learned a lot. Bought a detector from one of the forum sponsors here and have gotten some help & some questions answered.
However ,I think this forum seems to be very cliqueish ,if you know what I mean. Maybe not , but I think I'll just observe instead of trying to participate in the future..............

Default Hello Butch.....

.....I am also confused by your post? I have been on and sponsored several other forums over the years that really were "cliqueish", and TQ is as far from that as I have ever seen?

Not sure who you purchased from, not what has happened to make you feel that way, but we are always here to help, in a friendly manner. Please don't give up on TQ......it is the best there is!

Default Cliqueish ?

Butch,
We are NOT CLIQUEISH here at TQ. "My opinion".

We were formed and we are based on a COMMUNAL program in an effort to help ANY and ALL persons involved in the Metal Detecting and Treasure Hunting Hobby, and to Further the hobby in any way we can.

Opinions are fine and EVERYONE is entitled to their own and EVERYONE has one.

Wonder what the opinions of our other 2,686 members are concerning this matter?

I've been part of TQ for about a month. I find no evidence of any clique. What I do see is a group of people who swarm to greet new members. And, a group of seasoned MD'ers that are out to help the rookies with anything and everything. I was thinking the other day how there are no MD clubs in my immediate area, but I don't need one. I have one right here online. Glad to be here!

Certainly didn't mean to offend or cause hard feelings but just making an observation. Maybe it's just me ,but I always seem to sense these things.I participate in several other forums (both carving and detecting ) but just don't feel welcome here.......sorry

Butch, stick around, give yourself time to get to know everyone and you'll feel comfortable then calling them by their first names,or any other name you want to.Most everyone kinda feels like a redheaded stepchild when they enter a large group, but trust me,everyone here welcomes you into our group and you should feel free to join in the posts.I'm 71yrs old and have 7 mds but have done very little detecting since I don't have another detectorist nearby, but I certainly enjoy seeing the finds and reading the posts and will chime in whenever I can.Everyone here will offer to you whatever it is you're looking for in a forum.Have that other cup of coffee and read the archives too.If I missed welcoming you to the forum,I certainly do now and am looking forward to your next post.HH, Ron

Hi Butch,
I just read your thread: Titles?

Maybe this is what your referring to in this thread? You might be right. Why would a seasoned detectorist want Little Digger beside their user name. These names change on post counts. I'll change these names so they appear more friendlier.

Greg
