first you need to get to know your m.d. put it on the table and find out were the hot spot is on the coil DONT PUT THE COIN ON THE FLOOR THE OTHER PEOPLE ARE WRONG.... get use to using your new m.d. dont give up first learn how to pin point and put your m.d. back on the table and get out penny-dime -quater,,etc,bottle cap differnt change and trash listen to the tones and the different tones and the size of the tones,,,i know the coil is in the air and their is no ground balancing done I CANT SAY ENOUGH LEARN YOUR M.D. AND LEARN HOW TO USE IT AND HOW TO PIN POINT SO YOU DONT HAVE TO DIG BIG HOLES

Default find those coins Julie!

Something you might try Julie is to take a handfull of coins that you already have and burry them in the sand/dirt one at a time and see what your detector tells you about each one. Place them under the surface at different depths to see how your detector reacts. Have a pull tab and a bottle cap to try as well so you can determine what the signal is you are getting. If you have someone to help you, they can burry them and you can try to guess what each coin is before you dig it. Good luck and I hope this helps. Rob
