You have to forget the screen. It is inacurate for the probe. The probe is just intended to find the target with more precision in the hole ; not ID it or depth it.

Hm. I get a feeling "all us people" need to stop MD since we haven't been doing this for 30 years and haven't made tons of money. That's just hooey. I think that I speak for most of the users on here when I say that we adhere to the "code of ethics" as far as hole digging goes. Not sure if you're getting the group here mixed up with another forum?

I apologize if I am offending anyone on here. This is not my intent. I just think that people on this forum are trying to enjoy the hobby and learn / teach. I don't think that it's quite fair to the great people on this forum to tell them that if they can't find an item that they should stop MDing.

Default Good post

I was considering a SunRay thingy for my XLT but think I'll wait to see how things work out with Don. Another good thing to know is problems folks have with a company when they need service. All the attaboys are good but I like hearing the other side too...........
BTW,the 30 year guy sounds like he's full of himself & some s**t . I think a lot of folks just like to MD & share stories on these forums and don't plan on buying a condo with their findings! Hell,I'm just glad to get to go MDing every once in awhile.............lol

Ya know, if you hadn't scratched all that silver digging it up with a screwdriver you probably could have afforded a Lincoln rather than a Volkswagen..

To Mr. Desoto my High School English teacher..... THANK YOU....

Cool XL-1 Probe on XLT

I have absolutely nothing but good results with my probe! I noticed you said you push your trigger up, I don't know if your machine is different than mine, but on mine I remove it from the clips, and then I pull my trigger back as when I am pinpointing with the coil. It has always dwarfed the results I got with my Bulleseye II and V4! Just my 2 IH cents worth! You have to use it just like when you are pinpointing with the coil as when you are holding the trigger back in pinpointing mode on the coil! Who knows maybe I am doing it wrong but it has got me results everytime I have tried it! Good luck! You must hold the trigger back the whole time you are pinpointing.
