Default Going nuts

Here I am midnight the night before. In theory my MD should be getting here via UPS some time on Friday and I am going nuts. Been making a list of all the places I want to detect. Man if that thing is not here in the morning I am really going to start bugging people in the house with me pacing back and forth all day. Have a feeling that my son and I will spend lots of time outside in th front yard. Maybe we will have to do some sort of UPS dance to get him to arrive.

Default Just Wait!!

Just wait!! It gets worse.. Once you get started and the weather then turns off bad, then it gets agonizing.. Or work or family commitment intervenes and a well planned hunt get put on hold indefinitely..

I think we all share your pain at waiting.. Almost like having a new toy as a kid and being grounded from it..

I want to wish you luck and look forward to seeing your finds.

James

I'm so excited for you. I will keep my fingers crossed and hope that everything goes well for your UPS driver. Mine was delayed over the weekend, when I got mine. It was supposed to be here on Friday, but I didn't get it until Monday.

That's all behind me, now, and the UPS man has recovered quite well from the injuries he received. You can hardly notice the limp.

In the mean time while waiting for the detector to arrive, make sure the tractor and backhoe are all gassed up and ready to break ground! Let us know when you get it and start tearing up the place. Best of luck,

Eric

It's here!!!!!

And so is the rain. AAARRRRGGGH!

Took it out for just a sec and there seems to be a coin about 6 inchs out from my front step and abut 2 inchs down. It will have to wait for the rain to stop.

OK the rain let up for all of about 5 min. But you know I was out there. Well it was not a coin. It looks like maybe part of a broken tool. But it was right were I thought it was. My first hole was only about 1 1/2 inchs wide and 1 1/2 inchs down. So wonderful first hole. Had it pinpointed very nicely.

It is junk but I was going to scan it and post it, but the scaner is giving me problems. Will have to figure that out tonight.

That's so cool! I bet you were so proud of the fact that you found what was in the ground. That's the best feeling. Congrats on your first find, even if it's not $ it's still worth a lot

Well could be money. Just need to find more. How much do they pay per ton of scrap metal?

Thing seems to be going nuts in my front yard. Get a hit then goes away, get a hit then it goes away and so on. Well there is a park down the road that I will be hitting tonight or in the morning. Sand will be much easier I figure.

Oh and yes I was very proud to find what it was hitting on.

Well the ending of the day. All I found was the one piece of junk. Got a few signals that would come and go. In the morning if the weather allows I will be going up to the park with my son. He is only 3 and will not be that interested in what I am doing but he will enjoy the time out. So I hope that my next post will be in the "Your finds" category.

Oh one side note. I need to figure out how to rig the 150 so the forearm brace is a little farther out. I am 6'5" - 6'6" (depending on how my back feels) so I have some long arms and would like to move that brace about 2 - 3 inches. But as far as I can tell right now, the only way it will go is further towards the bottom.
