Default New Hand held detector

Thought this looked kinda interesting. Says it has wide scan and pinpoint ability. Keep it in the glove box for a quick fix around parking meters

"Zircon’s brand-new MetalliScanner® m40 solves the very difficult problem of finding studs in lath and plaster walls; it works by identifying the pattern of nails that attach the wooden lath to studs. And that’s just the beginning! Its patent-pending, wide-field and pinpoint scanning capabilities offer a real advance in metal scanning convenience and ease of use. One-button simple, this is a tool anyone can use...."

Default hi ,oregon

if you have to use a different devise to find coins you need to go back to the basic of knowing how to use your machine and how to pinpoint

Default goldstinger, I have gotten ....

pretty good at pinpointing with my detector, but do use an electronic pinpointing probe designed for MDing to zero in on items once Ive cut a plug. Especially if I suspect it is something I would not want to scratch with a screw driver or digging knife.

I was not suggesting the MetalliScanner would be an ideal solution for those who prefer to use an electronic pinpointing probe in conjunction with a full size MD or that it would replace the need for good target pinpointing skills. I just thought it was a neat, compact tool that could be useful to have on hand and a fun novelty
