My wife and I and about 6 friends are heading to ark. to the diamond mines on memorial day weekend, any body want to join us? It would be great to meet some new treasure hunters. There will be plenty of food and beverages. We are towing my giant grill with us, and camping out for the weekend.

Some members from our 'shomegold' prospecting chapter are going down on the 19th.There won't be many as a large group is going to Thermal City for a wk the first part of June(for gold) and didn't want to make two trips that close together.I understand the crowds have been large since several nice diamonds have been found recently.Goodluck and HH

We have a knap in in Weatherford that weekend or I would be glad to join you. My uncle lives not far from there and I was going to his place in a couple of weeks. I committed myself to help at the Horseshoe Bend Knap In before I hurt my hand.

I also need some time to let my hand heal up from a chainsaw accident that happened Wednesday before I play in the dirt, so to speak, and I can't afford to risk it getting infected.. 16 stitches..

You have no idea how I WANT to go there. I have been doing lots of research about that diamond field. Please please let me know how it went and what you found, rv park close????? It is in my agenda for next year. I work 6 days a week now but by april 2008 I won't be because I am going panning, slucing, and diamond hunting for at least 6 months. This must be a good time to go???? I am really excited for you, have a great time there and keep us informed

What a coincidence! We were just talking the Diamond Crater park at my parents' house today. I would absolutely love to go when you're there but I promised my mom I would take her in a couple of months. I'd get in trouble if I went without her now.

I get the stitches out of my hand Wednesday or Thursday, got the Knap In Memorial Day weekend, but me and the wife talked it over and we are gonna make a run for the border Sunday Evening or Monday Morning. The kids will just be getting out of school and we are ready "to get the hell out of Dodge" so to speak.

Anywhere but here.. Been cooped up almost a whole year and decided to get out and have some fun. It's only a 6 1/2 hour drive from here..
