Default My BH (RS) Discovery 2200 gave up on me...

Started last Friday. Super hot outside, and my detector shut off by itself. after I got it back in the car out of the sun, it was able to be turned on again...

Checked battery tightness, and almost full power yet.

Yesterday it was cooler, but still did the same thing. after getting it home, I went outside to check it out, and just turning it on, without any motion it sounds like the old Merlin game with all the different sounds it's making....

Looking at the Ace 250 or an X-Terra 30 or 50....

I would definately look at the xterra x50. I have an ace 250 which I like but I love my xterra. Ask the sponsors they will help you out.

Default Discovery 2200 Woes

MCbrat, sorry to hear about your detector problems. With the cost of Labor, it is probaly good for you to look at buying another detector and you might as well upgrade in the process! Very hard to live without one! As a Veteran of over 36 years experience I have more than one to choose from. Although I collect working and non-working CLASSIC detectors, I have at least 5 that I use in my everyday Treasure Hunting Activites! Good Luck Joe

special thanks goes out to MetalHead for letting me field test one of his back up detectors while I decide on my new one... Leaning heavily towards the x-50 at the moment.

Hi Mcbrat, the Xterra 50 is a good detector and the price is great! I had a 2200 and it worked pretty good for me. But you will enjoy having a good dependable machine. If I can be of service just PM me or call. So God Bless and happy hunting to you!!

Hey Joe, do you use a Compass by any chance? I sometimes get old fashioned and I still like analog meters. I started out in the Vacuum tube days, then transistors, then integrated circuits, and now microprocessors. I have several older units too. Ok Joe happy hunting and God Bless you my friend.

Default Compass 77b

Hey John, I have the 77B Professional , the 77B Auto, 77A, 94B, the Coin Magnum, a Liberty 100, a Judge 2, several Coin Hustlers and a few Compass parts detectors. I also previously owned a 77 Auto Legend which I sold last year! My favorite Compass is probably a toss-up between the Coin Magnum and the Judge 2! Also if you come across a Relic Magnum 6, I'm interested! And this is just my Compass selection! I also own Garrett's, White's, Bounty Hunter, Wilson, Wilson-Neuman, D-Tex and A.H.Pro. I also like to use the 77B over old burned out homesteads since it can see around and thru all the iron nail debri and still find the old silver coins!....................Joe
