Default Thank you

Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. Gordon does still have a blood clot in his leg and as it diminishes he will start PT and hopefully come home. He is on Hepren and coumidin. Which will thin the blood and clear his clot in time. Some of you have requested our Address It is

Gordon and Christina Coe
PO Box 481
Salley, SC 29137

Did you know that coumidin has the same chemical makeup as rat poison.

Well neither did I. The Dr came in today and was going over some test. He was explaining the regiment of meds and how the coumidin works.
He went over therapuetic ranges and doses etc. As he finished he looked at me winked and stated Thank God for Rat Poison. I almost fell out of my chair and said Oh my God, You don't think I poisoned him do you? He then told me about the chemical make up. Their propably still laughing at me

God Bless you all

Hi gordiesgirl,

I spent 9 days as a juror at a trial on a coumadin civil suit.We decided with the doctor and learned a lot about blood thinners. You are correct that coumadin is a derivative of rat poison and insured that once ingested the rats would bleed to death as they couldn't vomit but in humans it thins the blood reducing clots. I think Dupont invented coumadin.

Very common treatment and should do very well. Wish You and Gordon the best. HH Bill

I know you guys have been through a lot this year, but I tell you what! You seem to have the best outlook possible. Keep up that positive thinking and keep him from being frustrated. Your sense of humor will do you both a lot of good. My thoughts and prayers are with you both!!
