Hey Bill,
I seen some older Oscopes on Ebay, No to bad of a price. I got a Fluke Scope Meter from where I work, but I don't like it much. Its got all this automatic junk that gets me way off on my settings. LR

Maybe you can help me out. I have a 1977 Garrett T/R Discriminator. I works except the speaker blew out the first day I used it. I then bought my Tracker IV and the Garrett is sitting on display. I would love to use it. Where do you get parts and how hard are they to work on?
Thanks for any help you can give, Brian

way back b4 walmart started sellin tvs so dern cheap i worked in a tv repair shop. the boss sold out the buisness several years later. the new owner wanted the sales rights to the brands we carried. he shut the repair shop down and threw all the repair parts in dumpster. a friend recovered almost all of them for me and brought them to me. as for buying the parts i dont have i use several suplliers i will be more than glad to PM you there websites and phone numbers . if you know how to use a soldering iron ( pencil type NOT SOLDERING GUN) you can do simple repairs such as repairing loose headphone connections or loose speaker wires. DO NOT TRY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE ANY COMPONENTS UNLESS YA KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. when i was a kid i built an old heathkit machine from kit and as learned more i suped it up. i destroyed a radio shack unit my mom bought me trying to do tha same thing. i didnt know as much as i thought i did at that time.
