Unhappy Too Hot?

Is everyone else having this massive heat wave and drought that we are here in the Midwest? I'm just south of Cincinnati and they're talking triple digits tomorrow and the heat index has been above 100 a lot lately. I'm wanting to get out and get some detecting in but it's making it almost unbearable! I went out in my dad's field Sunday to find a part for his tractor that broke (I found it by the way! ) and within 5 minutes I was drenched in sweat. Does everyone else just go early in the mornings or late in the evenings before dark? And along those lines, I've went detecting in shorts lately instead of long pants and get all kinds of bug bites on my legs - do you all just suck it up and wear jeans or just put up with the bug bites from kneeling in the grass over and over?

(Not a typical post but I was just curious if everyone else is having the same issues as me!)

Default Not me,

It's almost 100 and high humidity plus the ground is very dry here in southern Illinois. It takes all the fun out of it for me so I'll wait 'til it gets better out there....

Sunday was a week since I last detected. I feel like I am going stir crazy but I am having asthma attacks in the house, so I know better than to play in the yard. We are at red level smog alerts here. I for one can't wait for fall.

Yes Paul, you know I am having a hot time over here in Western KY. I spent 3 - 4 hours out detecting in it and that was all I could take.
