Default Sweet and Sour

SWEET PART
I got the chance last weekend to go down towards Va Beach, I had a couple of seminars to do at a Bass Pro shop and was determined after those were finished I would hit the beach Saturday and Sunday. So before I left town I went back to my local Whites dealer to pick up a sand scoop, when I walked in the door a gentleman was leaving with a Prizm 5, I told him he may as well put it back on the rack. Well with a puzzled look the customer and salesman asked me why, I then explained that he would want the dfx or mxt in no time and should just go on and get it right then. So we got to talking and I was explaining as best I could how much fun this hobby was, I had him watching the video and really considering the DFX, at the same time I mentioned to the salesman, same guy who sold me mine that I was in need of a pinpointer soon. So what does he do........gives me a brand new "bullseye" for helping with the customer.
Unfortunately I never got to the beach and have yet to venture out in this 103 degree heat to try my pinpointer.
SOUR PART
I woke up Wednesday morning to go to work and my ride was gone!!!
Someone had stolen my truck during the night. I had to fight 2 different police depts to get them to even fingerprint the truck after they found it, and then when they finally did do it, it was after the truck had been towed so it was contaminated. The girl at the towing company told me mine was the 14th RAM in as many days. So thats the good, the bad, and if I catch the thief it will be the ugly!

Now that's quite a story. I miss the Hampton Roads area but each time I go back I think I probably don't want to move back there. I am glad you got the vehicle back. Your detector wasn't in it was it? I know that mine is in the truck now and I should keep it in the house when not driving or detecting I guess. HH and thanks for the update.

No my detector was not in the truck, it is so hot here I am afraid it would damage it.......luck there.
I talked to a news reporter yesterday and she had just done a story on my town and the 50% increase in auto thefts here..........seems Rams and Jeeps are the vehicles of choice. After seeing how easy the ignition pops out it is no suprise.

Sorry to hear about your truck, glad you got it back. That is great about the pinpointer. Never hurts to be nice and helpful and sometimes it even pays, WTG.

I would rather they had burned it to the frame to be honest. My truck is/was in great shape, I take very good care of my vehicles and baby them, but not knowing what might happen down the road as a result of this worries me. I explained this to my ins. agent as well and the best he could offer was.........."it was probably just some kids joyriding". I just have to hope for the best now.

I had my car stolen last winter also and it sucked! They eventually found it about 5-6 days later and I had started wishing that they weren't going to find it or that it would be totaled. The damages weren't enough to total it but they left the sunroof and windows down so it got about 6 inches of snow inside . It's never been the same since - I feel your pain bro!

That is my fear right there. My gauges are all lit up, and the insurance adjuster told me this morning that the thieves were targeting specific parts on these trucks. I also found out from my neighbor that another Ram was taken yesterday just around the corner
