Default I'm Back

Hi all,
For those who remember me. Well we made it to Florida and set up our little rats nest. What a trip, from here in the northwest it is about as far as you can go and still be in the country. It took five 14 hr driving days. It was hotter than you know what there. We blew a trailer tire in Mississippi, about 103 degrees and it took U-Haul 1.5 hours to get us help. I was not a happy traveler at that point. Denver was a mess, took 3.5 hours to get 60 miles up over the pass.To add insult to injury there was a gas station on top charging $3.35 a gallon, cost me $70.00 to fill up. Two major rain storms and then we made it. We drove my Ford F250 with a 12 ft U-Haul trailer in tow. Made it without any damages . We are back in the Northwest now and will move to Tampa on a permanent basis late September. I did not get any detecting in while there, it was all work. I did manage a quick swim at St. Pete beach.
Carl

Hey Carl!! Welcome back I've been wondering how the move was goin'. Too bad you didn't get any huntin' in, but it was probably too hot to think about it. I think it's a good idea to move there while fall is easin' in. That way by the summer time you MIGHT be a bit more acclimated. It's very nice to have you back. I missed your sense of humor.

Thanks Pris. Gee I was hoping to have a detecting story for you all but it just didn't happen. I did meet a new friend there who wants to go detecting with me when I get there. We are going to look for buried treasure like two wild eyed kids. He has a boat so we are planning on going through shallow water with detector coils submerged..ya never know I will check in from time to time until I get there but when there I am hoping to have some good pics for all of you.Oh..I do have one story. I was wading in the water on MacDill AFB when I saw this youngster fishing. I waded over and asked him if he ever caught anything there cause I like to fish. He said "Yesterday I caught a shark about 4 ft long". I got the heck out there fast

Man... after a trip like that, you'd better hope that you didn't forget anything and have to go back for it .
