Default I went to a very old church yesterday...

that was built in 1838 and of which my GG Grandfather was a member starting in 1849. While hunting there I did find a dime dated 1965 and was wondering when silver coins were discontinued from the US mint. It was my first coin find and even though it wasn't the rare silver coinage that we all look for it was great to find. I figure that if it was buried for 41 years and I had the good fortune of finding it was worth the trip. I will be going back over and over because it is a pretty clean spot related to trash and it has alot of history. I can't wait!

I think that 1965 was the first year for the clad dime (not silver) I could be wrong because I am still very new to this but you are doing good and just keep practicing. I bet there is more around that church.
