Default UH OH...this is not good !

The rain has stopped for now but its still overcast, so I decided to go out and get back into the " swing of things " so to speak. Wasn't out very long. Detector started acting up just a few minutes after startup. I run an Eagle ll SL, and the display screen is showing everything, cannot adjust the sensitivity, pinpoint not reading or functioning properly, nothing is working.... I got PROBLEMS.... Worked fine the other day when I was out. Maybe setting in the closet for several years has done something, dust, heat, humidity...who knows.

Calling the White's Service Center tomorrow to see about sending it in for a complete overhaul. This detector has been very good to me over the years and its paid for itself many times over,,, not gonna let her die now. I have no backup until the MPX arrives, and I'm not sure about how that thing will work. Oh well, wish me luck, hope I'm not hit too hard on the service bill.

Good luck getting it fixed. If the shakes get too bad, reading Treasure Quest tales help.

it might just be the humidity. goin from inside to outside with a temp. change and i 100% humidy not good if that circuit board sweets. try it in the morinig inside. id leave the batt. compartment open tonight. i had a old whites that gave me hell i high humidity. the circuit board might be able to be sprayed an resealed. but i'd let whites do it.

I would try what Bigjohnsay's. How long before you get your MPX ? If It's going to be awhile then I could let you use my Wison coin select till you get your new one. Don't know where you are but doesn't matter. Hope it's just something minor that doesn't hit you hard in the pocket.

Good Luck

Thanks for all the advice gang, and the offer TINMAN,,, very kind of you. It won't be necessary though. That MPX should be here by weeks end, I can wait, and besides, its raining........................ again.

Did some more tinkering with the Eagle, its hopeless . Definetely has an electronic malfunction inside somewhere. No biggie, this thing is long overdue for a checkup. I can afford to get it fixed, and I'LL recoup my expenses soon enough when I get it returned in working condition and get back to hunting.

Keep the party going folks, I'LL crash it later.

Yea the humidity here in Mississippi can play havoc on a detector. It's not that good on my machine either.

Good luck with your's Ironclad and HH.
