Default Google Earth Help ?

I down loaded Google Earth, but I can only get resolution down to about 10,000 ft. Anything below that gets blurry. Any help on how to get closer or better resolution, or is that is good as it gets ?
I'd like to get better closeup shots of the ground features.

some areas have a low resolution due to low priority. High population = high priority, low population = low priority. My town was just recently photographed with high res satellites.
