Default whites m6 owners question

How well does this machine work in wet sand. Specifically those using it on west coast of FL. We are not talking Hawaiian black sand.

I am looking for a general use machine with the best performing beach/wet sand mode and am leaning toward the M6 for the moment.

I know minelab guys; the excal is machine of choice for beach and water but with temps dropping soon I will not be considering one of these until next spring. Bloods to thin and water will be to cold for me to get in anyways. The winter low tides however can be extreme so a decent wet sand detector is the goal for now.

Don't really want to lay out the bucks for an excal right now either. If I get through the winter with my interest level for the hobby remaining high I will join the excal tribe.

Hi natman2. I would have to say that the M6 is a decent detector for beaches but not the best. Based on the MXT (which is not good at all in the wet salt sand on most beaches) it has limitations and you'll be spending more for less performance. I would suggest the Tesoro Tiger Shark. This is a very versatile detector that can be used on land , in the surf and on the beach. Although a water / beach detector it can be used very well with great results on land. This detector is in the same price range and will give you good depth anywhere. If you nedd more help please let me know.
