Default On the Border - Part II

If you read my earlier post today, I mentioned having to endure a barbecue hosted by a client - as opposed to being able to hunt...well, it turned out to be a very fortunate thing that I attended the event...

One of the friends of the host happened to be an avid MD'er who knows the area very well and asked me if I'd like to hunt an area that once was home to a military base that he feels certain has never been hunted...apparently the base was post-civil war and pre- modern era (I'm guessing late 1800's or very early 1900's). The site is not on any recent maps - and he feels certain that through his research - he's found the location. Of course, I agreed immediately to go along!

Secondly, we will hunt an indian camp that is located on the land I was on today (adjacent to Laughlin AFB)...he has already scored arrow and spear heads - along with bullets, etc....many retrieved right on the surface...so it just goes to show that we never know where our next lead will come from! You can bet I'll take my camera and be posting immediately upon return should the day prove fruitful!

Can't wait until morning!
