I promised GREG and JOHN that I would help them with the "SOUTHERN LANGUAGE" before they made a trip down here to MD with me so they would seem like they would fit in real good. I'll start with the "A'" Boy's SOOOOO HERE GOES......

ABBOT-Talking when you should be listening is a bad ABBOT

AIN'T- The sister of one of your parents.
AIR- "AIR you goin' t' town?"
A-PINT-What the "shuriff" has to do when he wants a "deppity."
ARE- What you breathe, i.e. "His house is ARE-Conditioned."
AX-"Don't AX so many questions."

BAD-A PLACE FOR SLEEP OR REST.
BAG-To reverse, i.e, "Mah car BAG-Fired."
BAIL-This rings at the church on Sunday moring.
BAIT-What people do on "hawse" racing
BALD-Ham and cabbage is very tasty in this condition
BALL-What you do to crabs when dropped in hot water
BALKS-A container, i.e., A mail Balks
BAR-This animal's skin makes a nice rug providing he isn't using it
BARD-"He BARD mah shove and h'aint fetched hit back."
BARE-A lot of this foamy beverage is consumed on hot days
BARLEY-Ah BARLEY mad it fore the sto closed.
BARTER-The higher priced spread
BEAD-See BAD
BECKON-Usually served with aigs and breckfuss
BEEHIVE-Yo chillun stop fightin and BEEHIVE
BEGGER-Some people just naturally grow this way over smaller people.
BEND-An instrumental group.
BET-Violent blows, i.e. He BET Pappy on the haid somethin shameful
BILE- What you do to coffee.

BRAID-The staff of life, also used for toeset.
BROOK-Rafe fell outen a tree and BROOK his arm
BUB-What you continually seem to be screwing into a light socket
BUCKS-Libraries are filled with these.
BUM-What people all over the world fear..The H-BUM
BUN-What will happen to toeest if you don't watch it.
BUNK-An institution where money can be deposited or withdrawn.
BURRO-With good credit you can do this from a BUNK
BUS-What topless waitresses expose more or less..
