Default Coil Size and Sensitivity

Had a question for those of you with multiple coil sizes. Thinking of getting another coil or two. I understand the small coil for trashy places. Smaller coil, less trash under the coil and better target separation and I suppose being able to use higher sensitivity.
But the large coil would have to be used in low trash situations, correct? What about soil mineralization? Wouldn't the large coil require you to turn down the sensitivity and negate the fact that you are using a large coil?

Ya'lls input an experiences are appreciated.

Glad you asked. I was wondering if I needed another coil for the XLT.

Generally a larger coil can see deeper in the ground and cover a larger area when hunting. The smaller one has a smaller cone and hence can get between trash and other items to be more selective. The size coil is usually a choice based on what you are searching for. I know this is a general answer and it comes from my short experience on TQ but if you tell us what type of target you want and the detector then the Great sponsors here know the best coil for each one. Hope this helps a little.
