Excellent post !!!!

Agree with everyone else that it is very insightful and exactly the reason to actually learn various detectors and coil combinations and be willing to dig and dig and dig. Never assume and always realize that any response no matter how vague could be a once in a lifetime find.

Last year i decided to dig an area around a large tree that was inundated with junk but the park was very old and worked a small area without moving my feet for 30+minutes and dug everything that registered.I dug pulltab after pulltab and bottlecaps and lots of decomposing iron and eventually found a Wheat penny.NO detector in my opinion would have indicated that penny being there by a casual pass of the coil. Thanks for the post. HH Bill

Way to break that down.
Lets see that should equate to roughly 80 kazillion pull-tabs.

I'm sure he didn't mean to "plagiarize" Bill OR's original post. This guy's a really nice individual, but thank's for letting us know the source. It's a VERY helpful tool to understand just how LARGE this world is, compared to the tools we use.

Thanks everyone!

Hi Pris,

You are correct and I shouldn't have used the term "plagiarize" but when someone uses anothers knowlegeable post they should at least recognize the source of their information. Sorry
