Default Maced in the middle of the night

Only meWas woken by our precious pup, Zelda. looked at the clock 3:00am. Zelda was playing with anything she could get her paws on. I told her to go lay down, she looked at me as if I had three heads and continued chewing on something. I got out of bed and saw Gordon's wallet on the floor, His change scattered and keys laying next to the pants. I said Zelda what do you have????? then a pop noise and I was blinded, my nose was burning and then my mouth. I yelled out to Gordon she maced me. I ran for water started splashing it in my face. Zelda was whining I yelled for my son. He took Zelda outside and hosed her off Gordon started coughing too. We had to vacate our bedroom and I showered twice. Finally able to go to sleep in the guest room. Called in sick due to swollen eyes and just being exhausted. Gordon and Zelda are ok. I got the brunt of it well at least I got to detect in the yard some, found 4 wheats 2 1957, 1 1942, 1 1948. How was your night.

Wow! I believe you're the first person I've ever heard mention that she got maced by her dog! What some folks will do in order to stay home and MD!

Seriously - hope you're feeling better and congrats on your finds!

Gotta love those Boxers. The list of what mine have ate over the years is mighty long including paint, a barbie, a jug of damp rid (stomach pump on that one), and a box of my business cards. Glad you and Zelda are better and you got some finds.

Well my gosh! Was she tryin' to tell you somethin'? I'm glad Gordon only carries mace and not anything more serious That dog's dangerous...

I sure am happy you were able to call in sick and hunt. That's really good bad luck, there.

Now there's a story you'll be telling for years to come; the dog that maced you! Bet that stings, but luckily, it'll get better quick! Maybe the dog learned a lesson too...
