I've seen 3 bald eagles in the past 2 years up here in upstate new york. The last one I saw I seen him twice. I was on a 10 mile round trip hike and I seen him fly down the creek the first time, and once again on my way back. Immature bald eagle he didn't have the trademark white head yet. Also on that hike I came across some very fresh moose tracks and followed those for almost two miles up the trail. The one track was a foot deep in the mud and still filling with water. Another track was so fresh that I watched as a helpless toad with two broken back legs was climbing out of the track. Poor little guy, big fat clumsy moose stepped right on him.

the only bald eagle i ever saw in the wild was 6 years ago 2 miles from my house. he was flying up a creek by my grandmothers house. we also had a moose walk down the middle of our road. and a black bear eat watermelon rinds off the woodpile out front. dont know why the moose was here cuz i live near albany.

The moose are making a tremendous come back. On one of my hiking websites I check out there are a few places I've been that the guy's have pics of moose, cows and bulls. My dad seen one cross the road last year. I've seen many tracks but no moose yet. As far as bears go we had a major problem with bears last year. a mom and two cubs that terrorized garbage bin and backyard barbacues. My dad has had his grill knocked over twice and trash stretched across his yard. My cousins little girl had a big bear looking into her bedroom window and it's about 7 feet to the bottom of the window. My cousin said that bear had a huge head on him/her. I've heard of one guy who had his garage or a shed pealed open so the bear could get his trash. We had DEC officers really busy running around shooting the bears with rubber bullets to get them away from populated area's in broad daylight. Fortunately no one has gotten an worse than a good scare. Them bears are crazy critters sometimes. Jason

Default Treasures Of All Types

It's GREAT to know that we can find treasures just about anywhere we look. They don't always have to be underground.....PAPPY
