Default Detecting under the bleachers

I know of an old football field where the bleachers have been there for years. The bleachers are built down the hillside,so getting under them is near impossible. The only way would be to crawl around under them.I,m foaming at the mouth to MD that area.I was wondering if I take my detector apart IOW just the head ,wire and coil could I just scan the ground on my knees? I,m not a young as I was,but I can use knee pads and gloves probobly last a couple of hours.Any tips would be appreciated..

Wow, you really want those bleachers. Sounds like you have a plan also.

The only thing that I can suggest is that you may be able to rig up some kind of shorter lower shaft to make it easier, and if the area under the bleachers are that tight, you may also want to wear a hard hat to protect your bean, I can just see you uncovering a target and raising your head into a bleacher

One other thing, I'm assuming that they're wood bleachers, so hopefully you'll be able to detect without getting alot of falsing.

Good Luck!

Default Under Those Bleachers

I OFTEN remove the shaft from my detector and get under bleachers...Just ask boobie...LOL

Just remember not to have your rings on while you are handling the coil

Remove the shaft and just take the control box and coil under the bleachers.

Dang Pappy , talk about about getting down and dirty .I didn't go to that extreme but put the little 5" coil on and bent over to the point of my back being horizontal under one schools bleachers and got about $23 clad in 2 outings and removed enough trash to pickup a few wheats and some silver rings but much less clad on later hunts . I'll have to try the box and coil trick. Your the Man, Pappy !! Thanks for the Tip

Under bleachers are perfect for finding Rings, Coins, Bracelets, etc... literally everything, including junk. Very often they are overlooked Hot Spots. If the bleachers are metal, use the smallest coil you can get.
