Default Dead Things!

Have any of you guys ever come across any dead animals in your searches?

Today my girlfriend and I went into a very densely wooded area and came upon some clearings where I'm assuming their used to be houses as there were property markers and shingles everywhere. I worked my way through a some brush and came to a large clearing with a bunch of tall grass. I looked down a little slope and saw a very large spine and some ribs on the ground. All clean and bleached from the sun! I called my girlfriend over, who was not happy about being there, so we could rummage around a bit and find the rest. Low and behold, the rest was there, including an almost perfectly intact skull and ribs scattered everywhere. I'm assuming it was a deer because all its teeth were flat. I think I may take it home and clean it to display in one of my bookshelves.

When every I am alone and hunting in a wooded area in the boondocks I always feel like I am going to find a dead body, It is one of my fears, I would freak out, but I sure hope it never happens.
Happy Hunting,

Recently hunting with Rikki, we came across a dead bird, and a while back, I came across a deer that was dead just long enough to have flies all over it and smell real bad .

Post Not unusual

It's not unusual to come across some form of dead wildlife or bone/fragment. Even in a town park you might find a dead bird or squirl, it's just part of the life cycle.

I came upon a huge bird's remains the other day and was both saddened and amazed at it's beauty.

Ok, had to give it a little Autumn artist touch. Probably a half grown cub, not much wear on the teeth..
