I have an old White's Coinmaster 4 that I have no use for. The machine is in excellent condition and seems to work great. It appears to have been hardly used at all and looks like new. I think it will be going on ebay soon. If anyone here is interested pm me and we will work something out.

JC, I will get back to you later tonight. Let me try to find a date and I can shoot you some photos. I would think they were made in the early to mid 70's.

Thanks for sharing your photos and stories, folks....unfortunately, my first machine is the one I'm using now...and it's only a little over a year old - so I'm pretty sure that it doesn't qualify for this post!

Default Vintage Machines

My oldest detector was a WW2 mine detector! It weighed about 50 pounds, had vacuum tubes and big obsolete batteries. Unfortunately it was stolen a while back! I prefer the older machines in my daily hunting! I own most of the AH Pro line, most of the Garrett VLF/TR line, some of the older Whites and most of the Compass TR and Compass VLF/TR lines. Probably out of all of these, I prefer the AH Pro-2 and the Whites 4900D Pro Plus the most! I just like the pure plain simple guts of these detectors, bells and whistles do not appeal to me at all!..........Happy Vintage Hunting....................Joe
