Default Show Me Your Old Detectors

OK, something a little different.

I know many of us have older units. Anyone want to share a short story and pics of these old work horses.

I sold my old White's 6000/D S2 unit...,,, but I recently bought a 1981 Garrett " Marksman ". Found in a Goodwill Store in mint condition. Detector, Bag, Manual, Headphones, Warrenty Card, and Original Invoice. Price paid then was $249.96. I gave $40.00.... Heavy, well built and runs on 6 9v batteries. Works great.

Posted this before - $5 at a garage sale, but haven't tried it yet. Was waiting for cooler, wetter conditions. Cooler weather here, but still way to dry.

I have asked a guy in Seattle to send me his old Coinmaster 4 that he bought in the 60's. He says it still works. Will show a pic when I get it. JC

My first is a radio shack from the 80's I guess. I still fire it up, and it still finds goodies. I dont have any pic's of it. It is a totally different kind of machine. My ACE250 has spoiled me.

Most of Sear's detectors were made by White's.
