Default Where you been, you bought a what!!!???...

a metal detector???? But sugar, you been wantin some diamonds, now I can find you some. lol
Well it wasnt that bad, actually she was supportive, sort of.
Anyways got my new M6. Only had around an hour late afternoon yesterday to try it out. Chattery little devil. Gotta learn a bit of tuning.
Now, today, got out for about another hour, wouldnt you know it,its raining but we need the rain big time. Anyways, I fooled with the sensitivity/gain and that helped big time. I have very much iron in my yard, lol. Dug several pieces of scrap, nothing noticable, just junk. No coins .
Its easy to adjust this machine and ground balance. Several times when I was getting many iron and trash signals (in an area) I would back away and balance in a quiet spot and lock my track in and go back to the noisy spot I was working.
Anyhows, I gotta lot of schooling to experience. Its a shame I have no one local to help me out. Ill be attending the UHK for a while, University of Hard Knocks, lol.

When you start bringing home the nice jewelry she will change her tune!!
Good luck with the new machine. Take time to read the manual and read it again and then practice, practice and more practice!

I'm with PABill - bring home something pretty, that you found, and she'll flip. We all do.... *sigh*

You are going to do well. Any machine that has a manual ground balance can benefit from a "re-balance" when you are experiencing popping and trash noises. Sounds like you have a great detector there.
