Default I went beach hunting

I had a chance to go beach hunting today. I didn't have a sand scoop, so I improvised. It didn't sift sand for crap, but it ended up working, because with the little ridges I ended up "panning" half that stuff out. I feel like a miner '49er!

I like the sifter! Is it an old coffee can? Hey if it works it works.

I would imagine the water is a bit nippy in Iowa, Beale.

That a pretty good improv. Many of the sand scoops I have seen have holes that are about 3/8" diam. Maybe you can try that on the next prototype. Good luck!

Default Like they say

A detectorist has to do what a detectorist has to do. Really cool sifter. I got to check out a state park here near milesburg PA. It has a beach, was not able to detect as I was with my Sister & brother-inlaw, Both 70 and there health is not the best but they wanted to show me where it was at so I can go back, hopefully Thur. or Fri. Nippy or not I'm getting in the water. My chances to detect have been slim this year so I'm hitting that sand and water no matter what. Hope ya did well and hope I do to. Are ya gonna keep your sifter ?
