Default Keeping up with finds?

I notice quite a few of y'all keep track of your coins. I am wondering how you do this. Do you use a spread sheet, web site, just write it down or other? I want to track my finds starting 1st of the year and am looking for a good system.

Thanks in advance, Beale.

I started using a simple spreadsheet but then I got lazy.

I now just register the amount of money I deposit at the bank. I track it in a spreadsheet and use this money to buy MD related stuff.

I don't find anything other than clad coins so there's no silver or any "keepers" for collecting. Everything goes to the bank account.

I use a spreadsheet, it makes it easy to calculate your totals. Also you can do a sort after you have enough information and see what you have found at sites that you visit multiple times. Also, you can graph your finding and know what kind of ratios you are getting for each coin. As you can see I find a lot of pennies

I am very lazy but at least I change my sig on here when I get hom from hunting and it has become a valuable tool for me to keep track of approximately what I have found. JC

I've only been detecting about a month & a 1/2, I've been lazy as well, I just throw all my change I've found in a bowl, the bigger stuff (cell phone, Air Force coin, sunglasses, ring, toy 4 wheeler) in a separate container to keep track of what I've found. 'E'

Right now, I just keep my "coin counter" updated here on TQ (under my signature)...once I begin to find keepers - I'll begin a detailed log in order to track quantities at specific locations, etc.

I never used to until I joined TQ and now, I just keep track on the coin counter. I have taken pictures of my hunts to post on here and keep a copy named with the location and date. I also took pictures of a seeded hunt that I went to, but probably won't do that anymore, they're are fun, but they are what they are. One of these days I may start a spreadsheet.

Being the dog that I am, I just put all coin finds into a plastic container until it's time to clean them. Anything really old or special I remove to another special place..... Buster......
