Default Old time Church Camp Meetings

Finding these old church camp meetings can be a challenge but if you find one it will be heaven on earth
In the early days say around 1700's to early 1900's many old churches held their camp meetings outside. Finding them will take lots of reading and research.

You should locate an older church and research that church's history.
I have read about a local Methodist church here in Smithfield, PA and while the church was being built around 1792 a Colonel George McClelland held services outside at his farm. I read at one service there were over a 1000 people attending
I have yet to find Mr. McClelland's farm homestead but in time I will locate it

So go ahead my friends and research out your old local churches, Old Camp meeting spots are waiting for you if you do your home work
