I've heard lots of good stuff about the Gray Ghosts, but I haven't used 'em. I'm still inlove with my wireless Bluetooth pair - wireless all the way!!!

So far I've found one very old license plate, a lot of nails, some funky green pennies and other misc. change.. but who's counting? I'm just here to have fun!

I have the Gray Ghost Ultimates which are very good headphones. I would suggest with the Deep Woods to only get them if your detector allows you to adjust volume, I don't think the Deep Woods has a volume control.

I also have a pair of Panasonics which are from a stereo, but seem to work find detecting. And of course the Koss UR-30's which came with my detector, no complaints there either.

I have a pair of GrayGhosts that have been durable. I had to reattach the speaker once when it came loose after dropping them on the floor but it was easily fixed with hot melt (per manufacturers suggestion). Never had a problem with the frame or wiring. i can't tell you anything about the other manufacturers but I am sure there are more than a few good brands out there.

I have had an original set of Killer Bees and really like them as well as the Troy headphone. Of the two the Troy are my favorite.

Has anyone tried the single volume rat phones. I saw an article in American Digger that spoke highly of them.

I currently use the Grey Ghost NDT's myself... I think they are a great set of phones....
But if I had to choose again..

I'd go with the Detector Pro "Black Widows" just because they block out more sound...
Or I'd have to give the Ratt Phones a Try...

Best of Luck with your decision.

Killer B Wasps are excellent and lightweight too. These are what I use and they have a money back guarantee. Can't go wrong with them.
