Talk to them, invite them to hunt with you, invite them to check out this web site. Always good to have another hunter watching your back. It is nice to have a hunting buddy.Happy Hunting...Buster.....

Do stay at least ten feet apart. My detector and my hubbys detector, Detect each other. But it is great to have someone with you on hunts.

You want to avoid cross chatter from the machines. But agree with everyone its always nice to have someone to hunt with.

Around here I have never had to worry about it. Other than the few times my wife has gone. I have never even seen another person detecting, Beale.

Default on the beach

i talk to em or at least try to.... if they are new to detectin and are wantin pointers i give em and mention this web site.... if they are a total anus.... i just follow behind em and dig all they leave behind just to agrivate em

it doesnt cost one cent to be nice, and i am to very person i meet... but if they try to be an azz toward me i will out dig dig even under dig em if i have to.

life to short and i wanna help people learn. treat me like i have the plague and i will leave the beach with treasure that could have been theres.

just be very polite... speak kindly and figure the person out..go from there....

happy huntin and i hoope ya have a huntin buddy and future member of TQ there

It's rare when I see other MDers out there hunting the area's I hunt. I have seen a couple. One day I drove around the park I normally MD and I seen a guy MDing with a nice White's DFX. I figured it would be good to know the guy, so I drove home and dropped off my son and then my daughter and I drove back to the park. However we started MDing on the other side of the small park. When the guy was leaving, he came up to us and started talking. Very nice guy who was glad to see others also interested in the hobby of metal detecting. I haven't seen him since, but I am sure we will run into each other again in the future. You never will know what sort of grounds you can get invited to hunt by others in the hobby. On the flip side of the coin, you can always invite the other guy to join you at a place that you have permission to hunt at. Teamwork can help benefit the both of ya!
