Ive gone thru almost 400. in coins from the bank, nothing under 1965 yet..bunch of 65, 66 and most were dimes. nothing to brag about.. except i have to roll 'em back up..

I wanted to add this story an friend of mine told me once. in 1978 an older couple that own thier own general store; went to buy a another truck. the couple pulled up with two 50 gal barrels ..may have been whiskey barrels...full of nothing but Dimes. The dealership proudly excepted the two barrels without even counting them.
How many dimes could have fit in the barrels?? wonder how many silver dimes there were.

this was supose to be a true store, seeing as the friend that told me this, his dad own the dealership.

I keep all my old stuff and I save the clad for later cleaning and maybe turn in at a later date. I just have not decided what to do with all my cool bottle cap and pull tab collection that I keep finding. In 100 years they will be worth millions....Buster....

I check all coins. I keep anything older than 1967. I check for errors and many other things. I have many people asking me.... ' if you happen to find a ..... would you please save it for me.' Of course, I make sure that I make a bit of profit for my time too ;) I spend more time at my table looking at coins than I think I do most anything else.

Pre 65 are keepers. I look for errors and the rest gets cashed in. I use those machines in the grocery stores that will automatically count it and it even spits out silver. I found a silver dime that was in a huge pile of change I cashed in.

I keep pre 1964 silver coins plus Sacs, Susan B Anthonys, and Kennedy Halves. I roll the clad we make a goal for something to be bought for the house and when we meet the goal we turn it in and buy the item. :candycane:
