ObMiT, The Hobo Nickel is the precursor to Rips artistry on the Quarter and here is a site that describes that history. More Than A Nickel's Worth: A History of Hobo Nickels and Their Role In American Numismatics Just do a Google search on Hobo Nickels and you will find sites with lots of pics. HH Bill |

RIP, you're such a catch!! I have never heard of such a thing before. How do you clamp them down, or are you just manly enough to hold them while you dremil away?
Do you start with an idea of what the finished product will be or have you made sketches of what you want? I only found out about those coin rings this year, too, and would love have one. I would like to know how, and have seen the websites with tutorials, but I would imagine it takes quite a bit of skill and trial and error. For someone without even ONE silver coin, it's gonna be hard to get that project off the ground. hehe Great job, though. I really like that you're keeping such history alive. Ya hobo, ya!
