What an awesome day

The weather was calling for rain Shortgrass and I had a plan to hunt together, Due to the rain we had to cancel the hunt. Bummer stuck at home again. I decided to clean house and decorate the tree. The phone rang, It was BigBill and Sheri on their way to my house.
Wow From the moment they walked in the door(hugs and greetings) We all knew a strong friendship has been Bonded. We talked, laughed, shared finds and small gifts. Bill gave everyone in my family a half Bicentenial Half dollar, And I gave Bill an Antique Bottle with believe it or not BIG BILL on it. The hours flew by and we all got hungry we ordered Pizza and Bill and Sheri Insisted on buying
All the Boys Bill and Sheris Lil Thomas and Sammy and My Big Thomas, Matthew, Timothy, and My adopted Army son Jordan showed us how wild Boys can be. I must say the lil Boys are into everything and love electric stuff like their Dad, But My big boys showed all just how crazy they can be.
We had Photo time Minus Thomas and Jordan the thunder and lighting rocked the house.
We all had a great day, Hopefully next time we get together we can Metal detect. Thanks Bill and Sheri for an Awesome rainy day.

The day was great!!!! We started out stopping in Walterboro to meet with dixielady and well she was out hunting so we decided at the last moment to drive up and see gg (Christine and Gordon) in Salley. So I got on the horn and called gg up and she said that it would be great to finally meet and we were on our way. As we pull down her street we see Christine, Gordon, Matt, and Timmy on the porch waiting so we pull into the drive as if we knew that was them and sure enough that was the right house and then the fun began!!! We sat around talking as if we had know each other all of our lives it was great!!! I can't wait to get back together!!!!1:christmaswindow:

I just KNOW yall had a great time today. Imagine the surprise I got wben my husband says, "Phone for you, it's some metal detectorist". I said, "Who"? I had no idea at first until he said Bill and Sherry but I still had to think, lol. I was so surprised Sherry!!! I really hate it that we were not in town, I have already told my husband several times that I want to meet yall and GG. We were with a friend of mine who owns property in Meggett, SC and she had invited us to hunt there. She says the Civil War was fought on her piece of property and we have seen a few things come off of the land that does indicate it. At the time you called, hubby was digging up what looks like an old knife. I have no idea yet which era it's from but it's old. Found a few old things and plan to hunt there again soon.

I do hope to get to meet you all sometime. Maybe after the holidays we can get together. I know we are leaving for a hunting trip to Myrtle Beach from the 25th-29th. Hopefully after that we can arrange to meet even if WE come to Beaufort. Sorry again that we missed ya.

GG... those are some nice pics of all of you. You all look like warm and friendly people. I haven't met any metal detectorist yet and looking forward to yall being my first. Thanks for sharing pics, my son would have been right at home with yalls boys as well :)
