Default Im always looking for spots to search.

I cant even drive down the road without looking for spots to hunt. well today i was driving-scouting around and I saw these crosses on the side of the road. This place needs a traffic light too many car crashes. I had a bad car crash once and every thing that wasnt tied down got thrown out.
I was wonder if you all would hunt this spot road side.
would you? or would you pass.....

I think I'd pass on that one! Most likely locals who died, don't want to upset anyone. IMHO

I also would pass on that one out of respect of those who might have passed on that sight. There are plenty of other places to hunt, But that's just me...Buster.....

PASS, I can't imagine being the parent of a person who died and see someone metal detecting their memorial.

I had a friend loose his class ring that was in his car when when he crashed.
when I check the area there were some ribbons on trees. No crosses, but I know of some other places that do have crosses.

However, how can this be different than old battle grounds or old churches?
Insome cases folks were buried in the (back 40)= back yard of the farm.

I personally would have a hard time with all the car strolling thru. However I still feel a bit silly using my mdetector in view of others.. moreless road side with crosses near by........ the school kids already hollaring
" metal detector man " ~ grins .. some just look at you like they exspect to see a blistic missle launch.

I need counseling...lol

o0o0o btw I did break the silver barrier, sort of, I fished up a 1967 kenndy half dollar from the bank.... i guess that kind of counts... just didnt find it with the MXT. however, the machine was in my truck at the time i was going the the drive thru....

Default Spots to search spots to pass up

I would pass on that spot as well. I have a similar place but it's my home. I bought it back in May of this year. The woman who owned the home was brutally murdered July of 06. The murderer was never caught. I went thru the property with CSI to try to find anything that would lead to the arrest of the person who commited this gruelsome act. We weren't able to find anything so the search continues.
