Default A Christmas to Remember

Over the past few weeks I have learned alot about the people here at TQ and about myself.
First I want to Thank all of the folks here for making this Christmas Special and for helping a family in mourning, and make it possible for the Baileys to see smiles on their adorable, very active, Sons faces.

I want to thank Greg, digginit62, BBQcook and Santa for your gifts. That was very unexpected and appreciated. Bless you all.

As most of you know Gordon has been very sick and I feared losing him at Christmas. The past month has been about Drs and hospitals for Test. He will have surgery just after the new Year. I have total faith that he will do well.

My lesson- I was driving to work early one morning and feeling sorry for myself. suddenly I found myself singing COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS. A flood of relieve came over me and things have gotten better since.

At the employee Christmas Party I recieved a DVD player for a gift. I did not have one and was quite pleased. The Boss announced she was raffling off a bunch of door prizes. I never win these things and after working all day just wanted to go home. so I thanked them and went on my way. When I did get home, Gordon told me to call Anne( administrator) I called and asked if everything was ok, She told me they gave a trip to Las Vegas away in the raffle and guess who won. ME three days to nights, a meal package, and round trip flight. I am so Excited

The Dr changed Gordon's meds and he has lost 10 pounds of fluid in one week. He has more energy and today we went metal detecting just for about 1 1/2 hours, All of our clad will be saved for vegas Trip.

I sat with my three children and my Gordon for a wonderful holiday feast.
Talked to close friends Tinman and The Baileys. Heard from all of my family In Massachusetts. I belong to The best forum on the net. and I say this is a Christmas to remember forever. Love to all GG

GG, Glad you had a Christmas to remember
I believe I did also.

We just got through exchanging gifts with all the kids and spouses, 7 of em, and grandkids 3 of em. A very good time had by all.

What really made my Christmas was being able to help 2 families that were in the need for some understanding, love, friendship, moral support and was able to help them with some finances due to going through some tough personal times and loss of loved ones.

This will also be a Christmas to remember for me.

Thank you to all that got this started, and God Bless you
:merrychristmas: Earl & Val

Very touching post GG. Lets keep praying for Gordon's full recovery.
As I told bbqcook I grew up without a father and we certainly knew hard times ourselves. It was a treat to have milk in the house. As I grew older I really appreciated my family and above all my mom for trying her best and loving us. God, Family and loved ones are more important than anything to me.
Christmas of 07 is one I will always remember. We as a TQ family really did something great and unique in this day. We also grew closer together and bonded this Christmas season,,,that is special.

Hopefully the good Lord will guide us to another family that needs a little love in 08.

Greg

Very touching post GG, it's so easy to feel down, until like you did, we count the blessings that we have and we realize how truly blessed we are. Our problems seem to fade when we realize the problems of others.

I will continue to pray for Gordon's recovery and everyone in need here on TQ.

Congratulations on the much deserved vacation to Las Vegas, may you dig up plenty of clad and strike it rich, if you don't hit big in Vegas, oh well, you're rich in so many other ways.

Wishing all a healthy and prosperous NEW YEAR!
