Default Missed Opportunities

Howdy, feeling a bit down today, must be the rain. I am finding out that I am missed out on so many Opportunities just a few short years ago. I have to start learning to stay on top of current events as it pertains to new ground to hunt. Sometimes these events are limited. I think it was padmaster show us a new paper story about GA lakes. Just moments ago I was told about a guy I went to school with that's is a complete rouge and that he MD's and how he had tons of stuff. I know this Guy and he would steal a ring off he mothers hand...anyways a lil discouraging... As this is a new sport for me, I find staying focused; sticking with a game plan is a changeling. How to stay smart. In other words; I need experiences download into my brain and I am mad that I don't have the info upstairs already.. Kicks dirt.
Cant help to think that Imp a day late and a dollar short. Maybe I should have posted this in the support forum, lol
Help me Im addicticed and cant get a fix... Jonesin

Shortgrass, it rained here today in Florida too. Did not go out to hunt, but I plan on it in the morning. Don't feel bad the weather will change. I would use this time to research some areas to hunt. There is always older areas around. You can talk to some of the older folks that live around you and they will most likely tell you when and where stuff happened. I had met a lady at a yard sale and she told me that her grandmother had lost her wedding ring in her yard years ago. I will go back and check that one out soon. You also can check out the historical society they can help. The libriary is also a good place to look also. Then there is Google maps for checking out your area. All of this will hopefully help some. It's got to get better.Hang in there..Happy Hunting...Buster.....

I personally don't think we should dwell on WHAT WE DID OR WHAT WE DID NOT DO....DWELL on the fact of WHAT WE ARE DOING OR WHAT WE WILL DO.....You can't change the past no matter how hard you try BUT you can to a point control the Future.

Yes, I totaly agree... thats why I spoke of staying focused. Building a game plan for deer hunting would be second hand nature.. however Now i look for places thru a differnt prism.. as it comes to looking for honey holes to MD.....anyways.. I dwell on many things.. I often think moodily or anxiously about somethings. Savvy- Maybe Im just getting greedy
Thanks buster, I am finding places to hunt, Just redirecting my Time/habits to take advantage to new Opportunities is a challenge. It more than just learning your MD. Homework and road work is a must. I need a chevette @50 miles per gal.

That's basically the idea. I am fond of something Winston Churchill said: "Let our worrying become advanced thinking and planning."
He was talking about WW2 but don't waste your time on negative things when you can be researching sites to hunt!

Some fine words spoken above, tomorrow is another day, it's what you do with it that defines who you are.

Well said, Pappy! History and events of the past (good and bad) can teach us how to navigate our way in the present and the future..."woulda, coulda, shoulda" doesn't do anything but make a person depressed... the key is to LEARN from the past and then make the needed changes to ENJOY the present and the future...
