I got alot of satisfaction out of what I did. A few years ago I had a guy restoring a '53 Corvette, the lower seat frame was gone (rusted), and I built him an entire new one by hand. I'd always felt fortunate in being blessed with a decent amount of ability with my hands. Now I somewhat struggle with having lost alot of that ability, and iI was always active, so now I look for less physically-demanding ways to fight boredom, (which is sad to say being 6'3" 230 pounds & lifted weights a large portion of my life). lol, sorry for the rambling.......
