Wives tale, Myth or fact
It has been said that you can take a ring and run it down your face and it will leave a black line if it is real gold...
Is this myth or fact...or just someone pulling someone's leg!!!  Who know's the answer to this one???

Myth
GIVE IT A TRY......I think someone is pulling both your legs...LOL...Heard a lot of them but not this one. NOW...If it leaves green, that's something else.

I just tried it with a 14k ring and, no Black line appeared. Must be a wives tale.
Some of these old tales are interesting. Got any others ?

Tried it, Nothing with the ring but it did work with a black Magic Marker !

It seems that I've heard this before - but can't remember where...BUT I've also heard that if a person wears a chicken costume while metal detecting - people will leave you alone...
I haven't tried this personally - but if y'all wouldn't mind trying it and get back with us on how it works, I know I"D certainly appreciate it!

lol...Tinman...and lol EPC...Come on don't be a chicken!!!...But on the other hand...Chicken suit...sounds good if you got some pesty problems out there...They would sure to leave you alone!!!!!!! lol
I have seen this work on women with foundation...I don't know what it is...Maybe it is not real gold...who knows!!!...Shall have to hold down my husband who doesn't have the foundation and then try it on me with foundation and see what happens!!!!! lol!!! I need to go dig...sitting in this house...is wearing on me!!!! lol Any others trying??? Wondering the results!!!

Don't know about the Chicken outfit but I did try it with a Giraffe outfit one time, Kinda worked, No one bothered me but every time I bent over to see what was in the hole my face was 8 feet in front of where I dug.
