Well aren't you a happy lady?? Welcome to TQ and I sure hope y'all can balance this wonderful hobby with your goats. Maybe you'll find a different activity to do while you walk your goats, but don't give up on detecting. I know you'll enjoy it. Sounds like you're already hooked.

That's hilarious! We are hoping someday to own some land and have horses and goats on it! MDing is truly alot of fun and great exercise. I do encourage you to leave the goats home sometime and get out and hunt. I'm sure that will make them miss you even more Thanks so much for sharing your story, my kids really thought it was funny as well.

We once had a Nubian nanny goat. She ate all of our shrubs and wanted to come into the house at the expense of the screen proch. She was very lovable and wanted to be hugged and petted. She did not like young children (probably with good reason). Her breath smelled like milk and her ears were so silky.

You wrote a great story about detecting with goats.

Great story, makes me want to get a goat, they remind me of my dog. We visit our daughter in WPB, FL, about 10 miles from the beach. I go to the beach every day to detect, the one time I took my dog was the last time, just like your goats, she wants to be a part of it. It got to where I'd spend most of the day on the beach detecting, then go back and get her and take her without the detector.

And Welcome to TQ, hope you're able to dirty up that beautiful yellow detector soon!

Thanks, folks. What a nice group! Yes! We do have alot of fun with our goats, and metal detecting! Just not at the same time anymore. (We learned THAT lesson. lol.)
Our detector is an Ace 250, and we have had great fun with it. We are in the middle of kidding season here on the farm now, as well as winter, so will probably be some time before we get out detecting again. Looking forward to it though!
