Hi Woody! I have also not had any problems in SOME of the state parks...if a particular park has ANY sort of historic preservation - I've found those areas posted against hunting or collecting artifacts. Colorado is a great area for our hobby - and if you'd like to chat or get together for a hunt - please PM me and we'll figure something out...
