Default Duh... I need to keep more informed

I set up a unique wood box that was made for me by a friend in Pakistan for my coins. I went to Wendy's fast food yesterday and saw a couple of Susan B Anthony dollars in the change drawer. These are everywhere but I didn't have one so I asked the guy if I could buy it off him. He said, "I have 5, do you want them all?" I bought the 5 and found out that 3 of them James Madison, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson dollars. I didn't even know these coins existed!! So now I'm going to try and finish off the new president dollar collection. I felt kinda stupid that I wasn't even aware that these coins have been made. I'm still working on all the US state quarters.
Does anyone else collect the different series of coins?
Doing some research, I found that there are site out there that want 3 or 4 times the face value for some of these "new" coins.
Would like to hear from anyone who collects and what you think are the most interesting series.

Happy Hunting.... Jerry

Hey Jerry I do collect coins, but not the new ones. I like to go te estate sales and buy old coins, or at flea markets. I really am looking for unique, and different. Sometimes I will buy a coin for other reasons.

I do like the new $1.00 series. I wish I could find one while MD'ing, Beale.

The presidential coins will be commemorrating all the Presidents From 2007-2016 four different coins will be issued each year.In the order that the presidents served. In 2007 Washington, Adams, Jefferson and Madison were circulated. There is also a set of special silver Proofs that are struck for collectors and will be for every year. Enjoy your new coins.

Yes GG.... I have been looking at the different coins on the Gov site. I'm going to make friends with my bank teller and see if I can't round up the ones that are already out and have her keep an eye open for the new ones when they come out.
Heck.... I still haven't collected all the state quarters that are out yet!! Its all good though..... I need this stuff to keep me busy in the cold weather.

They are really nice coins. I ordered an uncirculated set from the US Mint. I plan to pass these along to my kids.

Good luck on your collecting Jerry. I would say I favor the Lincoln wheat pennys.

Well all I can offer up is the US mint site is weak at best, on a good day. Last thing released the commorative eagle coins the only way to order was the over extended phone center. Most got busy signal for first two days of offering!
