I use a Pelican 1750 case for my Explorer... They can be had for $199.00

at several different sporting"Hunting" stores... I think I bought mine at

either Gander Mtn.. or Sportsmans Whse..

Default There was a guy on another forum who used a rifle case.

It was a slick bit of kit, aluminium case with fitted foam inside. He just recut the foam from the rifle he no longer used. I break my Excal down and wrap it in bubble wrap, then pu it between my clothes, worked just fine on the two trips away that I took it on, Mexico and Michigan.

Cheers,

BDA

I never thought much about it, it would be a good idea to keep them from getting damaged in a vehicle also. I always just grab them and go.

The 1750 is an Awesome case.. & Well worth the money to protect your investment...

If anything Ever goes wrong with this case.. even if you where God forbid in an accident and it got damaged in anyway Pelican will replace it for free... For Life...

Just keep in mind that the 1750 is a Large case... So I hope you don't have a Small compact car....

It just fit lengthwise in the Back seat of my Ladies 07 Audi A8

you will really like this case though..
