Multiple parallel dimensions in space time is an interesting topic, Tinman. It really a deserves a seperate thread though. Time travel is enough to make some people brain hemmorhage, parallel dimensions could cause spontaneous explosion of the cranium.
My younger brother had a problem with recurring falling dreams when he was just a kid and he was worried because each time he fell off the cliff in his dream he got closer and closer to the rocks before he woke up in a sweat. He was so worried he confided in me and I told him in that offhanded way that only an older brother can manage "Just spread your arms and fly, Stupid!"
It worked and he's been flying in his dreams ever since.
A friend I used to know had no problem flying but she couldn't fly any higher than the tops of the telephone poles, try as she might. She said she felt that there was a weight holding her down and if you knew her personality you would believe it. I can't say I miss her.
I love flying in my dreams and whenever I have a flying dream I make the most of it, Great Fun and a Total Sense of Freedom.

Cheers,

BDA

Isn't there a theory that time is actually in a spiral, so there are layers below us, like a spring? Sort of parrallel but also contiuous. It might be easier, then, to jump back to certain days or times than others.

If anyone wants to have a lucid dream, try this. Before you go to sleep, take about 10 minutes and tell yourself that within your dreams to look down at your hands. Once you are dreaming and look down at the palms of your open hands, this is your clue to yourself that you are dreaming. Once you are concious within your dream you can take control. I've done this and felt very giddy and went flying immediately. Amazing how everyone wants to fly, eh?

When I was in college it was an assignment in one of my classes to keep a journal of our dreams. The professor wanted us to try to lucid dream for extra credit...

I studied dreams in college as well. Actually I still do and managed years ago to be able to manipulate the dream and outcome..

and a comment on time, folding time is possible so that we could fly to jupiter or whereever in a matter of minutes or perhaps parallel worlds, were just not there intellectually yet but someday...
