Default question about buying a pinpointer

I might be investing in one soon. I do not need it for the beach but for grass it seems like it is a must. Can you just buy any of the pinpointer or does it have to be compattible with your detector? Also what is the best pinpointer out there? I own a whites dfx. Let me know. Thank you in advance.

You can buy any pinpointer but if you want a good one get the new Vibraprobe 570. JC

I really like my Vibraprobe, very nice unit. It is easy to use, waterproof, and sturdy, Beale.

Does not matter what PP you get, just make sure the coil of the MD is not too close to the area you are trying to PP because it will pick up the coil.

I agree that the Vibraprobe is pretty good.

i 2nd that, i just got the vibraprobe for christmas and i love it! used it on one hunt and it was 10x faster than my old one. if you want another real nice one check into sunray, i hear they are great and they connect to your detector. it's like a little mini detector-switch the flip to probe and whatever it picks up shows up on your detector screen.

I've been using the Vibraprobe 570. Wouldn't leave home without it.

Yes you can connect the sunray to your DFX. I have not used it yet so can't give you a fair review but I bet you can find reviews online. JC

Default seems like the vibraphone 570

is the one. I might be planning to get the excallibor and the pinpointer goes underwater too. I do not feel it is that important now to connect the pinpointer to the detector. I mean whatever it is you pinpointed then you just take it out. I mean if it's good it's good and if it's junk then it's junk and you just throw it away in the garbage. I might get it when I get my tax return. Thank you all. Really appreciate the info.

The Vibraprobe 570 is exceelent and very durable. The combo of that and an Excal will be a killer one for sure. If you would like a deal on the probe and Excal give me a call.
