Default Contest

This is a contest for best homemade gear. To the winner the silver ring shown below. The rules are simple, post a pic of your gear, and explain what it does. At the end of the contest I'll post a poll where everyone can vote on their favorite gear. The contest will run for 3 or 4 weeks. Whether its a digging tool, coil cover or treasure/trash bag. Be creative and inventive. The more functional the better. Thanx for reading. Jason

Default Contest Contest Contest

Looks like you might win it Pappy. There seems to be a lack of particapation. I'm gonna end this contest on March 31st. At which point if no one else enters then you'll win by default Pappy. I thought with 349 treasure hunting members we'd see some nice items posted. There's still plenty of time to win this ring folks, let's give Pappy some competition. I wanna see any home made gear that's related to any aspect of treasure hunting. Cellar sifters, sand scoops, bottle probes, digging tools, modified trowels, coil covers, hip or chest bags for holding your detector box. I do mean anything. Home made waders to get you out deeper, dredge modifications, A better pan, Anything that helps increase your dig time or the number of items you dig. Sluice boxes, home made detectors or pinpointers, a cup holder on your detector, anything at all. Lets see some competition. Make it as simple or complicated as you like and good luck. Jason

Smile would love to enter but..

the only thing i make for detecting/artifact hunting are display case's.

this is the best i can do.i used recycled wood, oak flooring and pine sheathing. finds are from a "hunted out" Union camp. it always gives me something on every trip.

i think Pappy put more time into his dowsing rods than i did into my display case's.

i guess i do have time to invinte something though.

I think even though it's not technically considered treasure hunting gear I will accept your display case as it is indeed treasure related. Unless you want to enter another one before the end of the contest. Due to small number of entries I will not limit anyone to one entry. Enter as many items as you like. So Pappy if you got anything else to add let's see it. Sorry if this seems like changing the rules a bit but I want to see a good competition going. Good Luck and HH Jason
