but i feel that humans aren't the reason the earth is undergoing change. i believe that IF the planet is undergoing change , it's not we that are causing it. change is a natural occurance and i think what we may be witnessing is a normal cycle, brought about by our sun . i just dont believe what the media says about this at all. they lie in order to further an agenda called...power and money!

The world oil conglomerates and every industry associated with fossil fuels has a very vested interest in ignoring this problem. A few brave media groups still speak out but many are silenced. Politicians backed by big money and big oil spin ridiculous tales of sheep flatulence when the scientific evidence points directly to the industrial revolution's impact on the biosphere. We have to realize that we are like goldfish in a bowl, you can't pee in one corner of the bowl and not wind up drinking it later on the other side of the bowl, it's a closed system both the fishbowl and planet earth. Unless we figure out a way to leave this rock after we've poisoned it then we need to start taking care of the only home we have.

There's a book out call 6 degrees..... wether its the sun, the earth or man, if our global temp. goes up 6 degrees ... we wont have to worry about it... it will become 80%+ oceans.... there wont be any ice caps or glaciers....

Every dog has its day, so of course there will come a day when we wont exist. Some damage man made and some of it nature. But Life will find a way, perhaps just not human life.

Interesting article. Fantastic fantasy, but interesting nonetheless. In the late 70's the active buzzwords were "global cooling", and "nuclear winter" bought on by automotive exhaust and pollution (not the bomb). Clean up the air and water, fuel efficient cars, then we get "global warming", and now climate change. I love history.

Since we sent that 6 wheel drive "SUV" to mars, look what we did to that pristine planet:

But I do like the detector they talk about. From orbit to be able to read 20 inches below the surface, I'll bet it isn't using a DD coil. I can't wait until one comes available on the surplus market. I keep looking on Ebay but no luck, so I'll stick with my MXT for now.

Now if I can only find someone to come and get the 2 inches of globally warmed, climate changed sunshine off my driveway so I can go out and play.

You can blame that one on Krakatoa. Imagine what would happen if Yellowstone blows its' top. It sure puts the worries about the economy into perspective.
